FootJar works because it can see your job search. Here is exactly what it sees, what it does with it, and what it never does.
FootJar, 10206 Pines Avenue, Suite 234, The Woodlands, Texas 77380. "We" on this page means FootJar.
What we collect
Your account: name, email address, and a password or a sign-in through Google or LinkedIn. Your records: the jobs you add, the postings you paste, the notes, contacts, documents and answers you give the copilot. Your mail, only if you connect it: FootJar reads messages that belong to a job on your board (matched by the employer's domain and the people on the thread) and ignores the rest. Your voice, only when you hold the mic: audio is transcribed and the transcript is kept with that job; the audio is not.
What we do with it
We use it to run your board: score each job, keep the record current, draft the notes you ask for, and remember what you told it. Drafts and scores are produced by an AI model from Anthropic under an agreement that does not allow your content to be used to train their models. We do not sell your data, share it with employers or recruiters, or use it for advertising. There are no ads in FootJar.
What never happens without you
Nothing leaves your account on its own. Every email, message and application the copilot drafts waits at the send gate until you approve it, and you can edit or hold it there. FootJar does not post to LinkedIn, apply to jobs, or contact anyone on your behalf.
Your controls
You can disconnect your mail at any time and FootJar stops reading it. You can export your records. You can delete your account, which removes your records, transcripts and connected-mail data within thirty days; backups clear on their own schedule after that. During the private beta you do these by writing to us; self-serve controls are on the way.
Keeping it safe
Data is stored with a hosting provider in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside FootJar is limited to what is needed to run and support the product. If something goes wrong with your data, we tell you.
Beta
FootJar is in a private beta. We may ask you for feedback, and we look at aggregate usage (which features are used, how often) to improve the product. We do not read your jobs or your mail to do that.
